'Den Gyldene Freden' is a famous restaurant in the Old Town of Stockholm founded in 1721. It is one of the world's oldest restaurant. It has been the haunt of many Swedish writers and artists, like Carl Michael Bellman, Anders Zorn, and Evert Taube (married to Astri Bergman-Taube) through the centuries, and was often named in their songs and poems. Anders Zorn acquired the restaurant and it was subsequently donated to the Swedish Academy. While still open to the public it is the venue for the weekly Thursday dinner of Swedish Academy, which selects the annual Nobel Prize winner in Literature.
