A cut glass and ormolu tankard, Imperial Glassworks, Saint Petersburg, 1830s

Gilt bronze, cut red and clear glass. The lid is decorated with snakes and birds. Traces of enamel decoration. Height 12 cm, length including handle 10 cm.

Minor chips on the base. Wear commensurate with age. The general impression is good.

The item was displayed at the exhibition 'Kullalla aateloidut - Kullattua pronssia 1700-luvulta 1900-luvulle' (Ennobled with Gold - Gilded Bronze from the 18th to the 20th Century) from 27 May to 9 September 2007 at the Heinola Art Museum, Finland.
