Literature
The Iittala glass factory was a hive of activity. They had started "painting with glass on glass", as Timo put it. Working hours seemed to have been forgotten - once again. This was what happened when something new and unprecedented was going on. The results of the previous evening's work were slowly emerging out of the dark tunnel into view. The sight was breathtaking! Freehand painted restful shapes, dark indigo, white opal, and sparkling clear glass. Timo had, as he had often done before, continued his day's work by working with the night-shift workshop. Timo called the Blues collection the Midnight Paintings. Most of them were painted in the dark hours of the night.
