Birgitta Westberg F409

Birgitta Westberg was born in 1941 in Målerås, Småland, and currently lives in Gärsnäs, Österlen. She received her education at Kunstgewerbeschule, Academie de la grande Chaumiere in Paris, and Meisterklasse für Textilkunst at Textilingenieurschule in Krefeld. Westberg primarily works in painting and objects and was previously a part of the art group Konkret Konstruktivism in Skåne.

In her artworks, she combines harmonious softness and playfulness while depicting an inner landscape that reflects reality with forms inspired by the elements of nature. Westberg has adopted a more abstract and geometric visual language in her later works.

Over the years, Westberg has had exhibitions at places such as Ystad Art Museum, Växjö Art Hall, and Galleri Glemminge in Glemmingebro.

Bukowskis is presenting a collection of 17 works by Birgitta Westberg in this themed auction.
