NASA Astronaut John Stafford (b. 1930) is one of 24 people to have flown to the Moon. He also served as Chief of the Astronaut Office from 1969 to 1971 and served on the corporate board of Omega following his retirement.

Omega’s Speedmaster Professional is widely known as the or "Moonwatch" and was worn during the first American spacewalk as part of NASA's Gemini 4 mission, and was also the first watch worn by an astronaut walking on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission.
