More information

Maria Bajt gick ut Kungliga konsthögskolan i Stockholm 2008.

Artist

Maria Bajt collects materials from different sources and manipulates images to create her own unique worlds. She utilises elements from different traditions; an unconventional mix of comic-references, psychedelia and folk art, one which depicts a narrative which intertwines her own personal stories with ancient mythology, mysticism, and science-fiction. The images approach not only the aestheticism of silhouette films, but also medieval painting and contemporary iconography.
