Decorated with flowers. Diameter 11 cm.

Wear. One with crackling in the glaze.

Provenance

Chinese Export Porcelain from the Ca Mau shipwreck, circa 1725. Sotheby's Amsterdam, 29, 30 & 31 January 2007 sale.

The Ca Mau shipwreck was discovered by fishermen in 1998. The excavation was lead by the Curator of The National Museum of Vietnamese culture. A total of 130 000 pieces where retrieved and three museums selected artefacts for their collections. The remaining 76 000 items where sold in 2007 in Amsterdam. Source: Unesco.
