Two parcel-gilt salt cellars, one of Carl Boianowski, Saint Petersburg, Russian hallmarks, early 19th century.

Very similar, differ in size. Gilt interior. The slightly larger one stamped with maker's mark C.B, Carl Boianowsky, purveyor to the Imperial Court. The other one without maker's mark, presumably imported. Marked 84, assay master mark Aleksandr Yashikov (1795-1825) and with town mark for Saint Petersburg.
Length 11.4 and 12.4 cm, height 8.5 cm. Total weight 169 g.

Wear commensurate with age. The general impression is good.
