A Russian cavalry officer's sabre, model 1827-1909.
Brass hilt with monogram of Nicholaus II, leather grip with brass thread. Blade marked W.K & C and F. Fichte Solingen and with etched decoration of monogram of Nicholas II and the imperial eagle. Nickeled scabbard. Length 102 cm, blade 87 cm.
Wear and rust. Minor damage in leather grip.
