Viggo Wallensköld paints narratives that work with the tension between safety and insecurity, or solitude and consolation. He describes his characters with sympathy and humanity, while creating something static, silenced and intimate for the space and circumstances. Wallensköld’s works may be viewed in several public collections. He was distinguished as Finland’s Young Artist of the Year in 2005.
