Designer

Fredrik Ahlstedt was a Finnish visual artist. He studied in Åbo for R.W. Ekman, at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, and in Düsseldorf. Ahlstedt was married to the artist Nina Ahlstedt. He is associated with the circle around Victor Westerholm and the artist colony Önningeby on Åland. For a time, Ahlstedt worked as a teacher and principal at the Finnish Art Society's drawing school in Helsinki and at the University of Helsinki. His painting is characterized primarily by lush landscapes, sometimes marines, and portraits.
