Ordered by Johan August and Josefina Sorjanen in the early 1930s. The furniture was designed by architect V.N. Vähäkallio.
J.A. Sorjanen was one of the first Finnish cinema tycoons, with a string of cinemas in Helsinki and elsewhere in Finland.
The set of furniture is a family heirloom.
