A Late Gustavian secretaire chest of drawers, 1800-1810.
Mahogany veneer, bronze fittings, caryatids in gilded bronze. Three large drawers under a fall-front drawer revealing an interior with various small drawers, bone pullers and escutcheon. Raised on four carved wooden lion paw feet. Width 108 cm, depth 49 cm, height 92.5 cm.
Loose decoration comes separately. Renovated, additions. Upper lock replaced. The key works for the three large drawers. Scratch to the top. Paw feet with some colour loss. The general impression is good.
