Art collections are in principle always based on an individual collector's burning interest in art. Often this person's interest also has a special focus; art from a certain time; art from a particular region; sometimes a special interest in an individual artistry.
This collection is more eclectic, perhaps more bought at the moment, with the heart. But even here there are certain themes that are repeated in several of the works, such as an interest in the abstract and concrete paintings of the 1940s - 50s and a certain predominance of artists from southern Sweden. At the same time as there are excursions to a more naive painting as with Anna Berg; to the new objectivity of the 1920s in Arvid Fougstedt's portrait and also to the international scene with the German - French artist Hans Jean Arp.
