Stockholm, Andreas Gutterwitz, 1607. Folio. (30 x 19 cms.) [1] + 64 leaves. Title printed in red & black with woodcut provincial arms of Uppland.

Old leather-backed boards, marbled sides. Somewhat worn, title with repair of corner loss and with a small hole (loss of a few letters), occasional small stains and old annotations, inner margin of final leaves strengthened, ink stains on final page, one leaf somewhat loose.

Provenance: Roughly contemporary ownership inscrition of ”Zacharias Olavi” on title and page 37, old inscriptions on both sides of title-leaf, verso with ownership inscription ”Nils J:S:S” (17/18th century), corner of front free endpaper cut. Signature of J. G. Wennerström, Upsala 1837.

First printed edition of the medieval provincial law of Uppland, and one of the earliest printed Swedish law editions.
