A Russian Cossack Shaska, model 1881, dated 1930.
Length of sword in scabbard 96.5 cm, blade length 80.5 cm. The shask in brass with grip in carved wood probably belonged to the army. Leather-covered wooden scabbard in white metal, clutch ring, portopé, bayonet, probably belonged to a police or NKVD squad.
Rust spots. Holes and wear on the leather. Partly hard wear.
