Marimekko, "Rakkauskirje" dress, print "Tarha", by Annika Rimala, 1963

SIZE: 42–44, fits S–L
MATERIAL: 100% COTTON

Vintage Marimekko Rakkauskirje (Love Letter) dress from a 1963 collection designed by one of Marimekko’s best-known designers, Annika Rimala. The garment comes in the Tarha pattern also designed by her.

In 1966, the dress gained worldwide recognition when featured in a prominent Life Magazine editorial by legendary lifestyle photographer Tony Vaccaro. Made more than five decades ago, this vintage piece belongs to the earliest of Marimekko fashion garments still in existence.

The cotton dress has only had one single owner. It is extremely well taken care of, showing minimal traces of use.
