Sture Johannesson fick uppdraget att utforma affischen till utställningen undergroundutställningen på Lunds Konsthall 1969. När den skulle presenteras slog Konsthallsnämnden i Lund, med ordförande Torsten Andrée i spetsen, bakut och tyckte att utställningen innehöll drogpropaganda. Undergroundutställningen 1969 ställdes in och Konsthallens chef, Folke Edwards, fick avgå.
Kalabaliken bidrog till att affischen spreds ännu mer, "Haschflickan" kom att bli den populäraste affischen på dåtidens studentrum runtom i landet och finns i dag representerad på en rad tunga konstmuseer bland annat Moderna museet där den visades i utställningen Efter majrevolten. Det "stökiga" 70-talet (1999). Den finns även i samlingarna hos MACBA i Barcelona (som för övrigt köpte hela Sture Johannessons sk. "danska kollektion", tryckta i Köpenhamn).
