In Vinegia (Venice), appresso Enea Vico Parmigiano et Vincenzo Valgrisio, 1557. 4to. (21 x 16 cms.) [24], 9-82, 85-212 [2] pp. The collation of the initial leaves corresponds to a complete copy, in the present copy however 2 leaves are lacking, leaf L2 (pp. 83/4) and the final leaf, with printer’s device. With 62 (of 63) engraved plates included in the pagination.

First edition, all published. First issue, before roman numbering of the plates. Waterstained throughout, some repairs and reinforcements, engraved title cut around motif and laid down. Later worn and somewhat soiled half calf, spine defective. Bookplate of M. P. Grace, 40, Belgrave Square.
