These galvanized shelves are identical to the wooden shelves made for the German Design Award winning Ceramika flagship store in Matsumoto, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune in 2013. A system with the same proportions in galvanized steel, was later developed for freestanding room-dividing shelves separating the communal functions of the entrance floor at hotel K5 in 2020. The wall shelf in galvanised steel was made as an offspring to the K5 freestanding shelf.
Claesson Koivisto Rune is a Swedish architecture and design studio founded in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto, and Ola Rune.
