These traditional recipe Japanese sugar cookies are handmade from wood moulds in
Kyoto by master craftsmen. Popular as a give-away box and often consumed accompanying the tea ceremony. The white cookie is an abstraction of the waterlily flower and with ‘natural’ (sugar) flavour. The green cookie is the lily’s leaf, with green tea flavour. In the box together, they make up an abstract waterlily pond.
