The book stand is made in Asahikawa city (Hokkaido) using oak from Hokkaido. With
its vast forests, Hokkaido is rich in
high-quality timber. As a result, the furniture
production techniques and i
ndustry took root in Asahikawa, where the climate is suitable for wood drying and manufacturing. Asahikawa city is a prominent
production district of furniture in Japan and it is also where the Time & Style factory is
located.
