Ilja Karilampi was born in Gothenburg 1983 and lives and works in Stockholm. He is educated at the famous Städelschule in Frankfurt and at the Royal Academy of Art in Stockholm. Solo exhibitions include Erik Nordenhake, Stockholm, Revolver in Oslo, Knipsu in Bergen, LISTE, Basel, La Plage, Paris (2015), Marbriers 4, Geneve (2014), and MoMA PS1 in New York (2012). Group exhibitions include Kiasma, Helsinki, Carl Kostyal, ZKM, and Galerie Catherine Bastide in Brussels. In 2018 Karilampi did a public art project in Rannebergen in Gothenburg, Sweden.
