A Kilim, an antique Shushtar, the Khuzestan Province, the southwest of Iran, ca 380-385,5 x 184-192 cm.

Woven by Bakhtiari tribesmen. A light red ground with a dense pattern of ivory coloured octogons with polychrome geometric patterns. The main border with a large reciprocal pattern in blue, red and ivory. A wide camel hair coloured outer border.

Slightly faded. Evenly worn, slightly dirty, stains, damages, holes, repairs.
