Pentti Sarpaneva (1925-1978) designed jewellery for Kalevala koru in the 1960's in a relief like style inspired by the Bysantic art and crafts that were made in bort silver and bronze. THe style that Sarpaneva used for these was new and upcoming in the 1960's and one that also Björn Wecström used and developed during the same time.
