The piece of jewellery is based upon and inspired by thee crusifix found at the Åminne manor in Halikko, Finland. THe crusifix is a part of the Halikko treasure found in 1887 and it dates back to the 12th century. The treasure consists of two silver crosses, one gilded silver crusifix and a silver collier made of filigree ornamented beads. The Halikko treasure is the most valuable treasure found in Finaland and one of the most notable in the Nordic countries.
