Timo Sarpaneva family.
Sarpaneva created the original Kayak sculpture in 1950. Later on, he often returned to his earlier works and his plan was to make the Kayak sculpture in different colours. Unfortunately, he did not have time to finish this project. In February 2009 Sarpaneva Design Ltd finished posthumously the work together with maestro Pino Signoretto in Murano, Venice Italy resulting in a limited series (17 pcs.) of glass sculptures in the Kayak-shape in the colours chosen by Timo Sarpaneva.
