Old or contemporary limp vellum, title in ink to spine. Ties missing, endleaves a little creased, first and last few leaves faintly dampstained.
The novel ”Urbano”, with separate imprint, is actually not by Boccaccio at all, and is variously attributed to either Giovanni Buonsignori, Buonaccorsi da Ginestrata, or Cambio de Stefano.

Strictly contemporary vellum blindstamped to a panel design, ownership initials and date stamped in black to front cover: ”I.E.B. & 1648”, blindstamped motto to lower cover ”Insil. et Spe”, title in ink to spine, covers warped, binding somewhat worn and scuffed with a few cracks, later ties, endleaves renewed. Old repair to title (text unaffected), title a little soiled and with ownership inscription: ”A. Textorius”. Final leaves lightly dampstained.
