The box contains both original and not original pieces, all but three with the monogram engraving 'OvB'. Niello spoon with a different engraving. Filigree spoon with a visible crack. A few repairs.
Wear and defects to the casket, interior with stains and several holes, smell.

Olga von Bredow was the daughter of the Major General Emil Friedrich von Bredow (1781- ca 1841).
The plaquet on the lid of the chest is engraved 'OvB 25/VI 1872', the day of her wedding with the pharmacist Axel Edwin Ahnger.
