Eddie Figge (1904-2003) was a Swedish painter. They studied at Otte Skiöld's art school from 1939 through to 1942. After persuing figurative painting during the 40s, Figge changed course towards a more informal painting style which played with the properties of light, dark, and space. With a strong understanding of colours, she had a deep understanding of her art; inspired by the cosmos, space travel, and quantumphysics. Figge also uses assemblage to achieve her artistic goals: threads, pieces of fabric, and bits of paper that she combines with sparkling colors. Eddie Figge has gained international recognition and has participated in the São Paulo Biennial.
