Old half calf, rebacked, sides worn. Endleaves somewhat soiled and creased, title-leaf a little trimmed at top and fore-edge. Old annotation in ink to foot of title-page, bookplates of Sir Henry Mainwaring and of Prebendary James Fraser. Internally very fine, clean and crisp.

Edited by Ascensius, the scholar-printer, who was one of five to add his commentary. He incorporated a printing press into his printer's mark, using a number of variants over the course of his career.
