RUDOLF CARLBORG
Rudolf Carlborg is most famous for his paintings with interiors and architectural studies in watercolor and gouache. After studying at the Technical School in Stockholm at the beginning of the 20th century, he was employed at NK’s architectural office, where he mainly worked with NK’s store for furniture and furnishings in Buenos Aires. At the same time he collaborated with the designer Albin Elison 1910-1919, whilst on his own photographed a large number of facades and architectural details in Stockholm, which he then used in his paintings. His artistry became known to a larger public through a series of color reproductions in the publication Publicist Club “Christmas Night” 1943.
