Parian - Elegance in white

PARIAN – ELEGANCE IN WHITE
Ever since the 18th century, a variety of porcelain materials have been used in Europe for production of ornamental objects. Smaller copies of famous sculptures were highly popular during the Empire period. The porcelain factories experimented to come up with a suitable material for production. The Copeland factory in England launched a porcelain paste that was very similar to the antique white marble Parian. The material got its name from its resemblance to the marble from the Greek island of Paros. We now present a collection of 100 Parian objects. Which is your favourite?
The items are being sold in aid of the Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation.
