Designer

Lisa Larson was a Swedish ceramicist and designer, born in 1931 in Härlunda. She is primarily known for her work with ceramic figures and sculptures, especially during her time at Gustavsbergs Porslinsfabrik (1954 to 1980) where she collaborated with Stig Lindberg. After Gustavsberg, she worked for Duka, Höganäs, Rosenthal, Rörstrand, and finally from 1990 to 1992 at Jie Gantofta. When Jie went bankrupt in 1992, Larson returned to the premises in Gustavsberg where she started her own company, Keramikstudion AB.

Lisa Larson's works are often characterized by playful and distinctive child and animal figures with a unique style and personality. Many of her sculptures come in series, such as Lilla zoo 1955, ABC girls 1958, and Advent children 1979. Lisa Larson has had a significant influence in the ceramic art scene and her works are highly appreciated and sought after by collectors around the world. The figurines "Samhällsdebatten" and "Pippi" are among the most sought-after models, along with her stoneware sculptures in unique designs.
