Silver Coins, A Collection

Silver coins to showcase as artworks in your home or to invest in – our auction "Silver coins, a collection" offers both. In the collection, we find silver coins featuring the renowned "American Eagle / Walking Liberty," minted in over 375 million copies since 1986. A coin with a somewhat older legacy is the British "Britannia" silver coin. Britannia was first designed almost 2000 years ago when the Romans imagined a noble and graceful warrior as a symbol of their new province.

The coin, minted by The Royal Mint since 1672, has over the years featured various depictions of Britannia, with Philip Nathan as the designer behind Britannia’s powerful portrayal on these coins. Suitably, the idea behind our theme of artwork/investment is captured on the coin with the inscription "DECUS ET TUTAMEN," which translates to "an ornament and a safeguard."

The auction also includes 1kg silver coins with one side depicting the Lunar Year of the Rabbit, Australian animals such as the koala and kookaburra, and the other side featuring Elizabeth II of England. Additionally, in 1kg form, we also find several silver bars minted by the renowned Swiss company Valcambi.

Welcome to explore and invest in the collection of silver!
