A 'Blue Fluted Plain' / 'Musselmalet rifflet' coffee pot, Royal Copenhagen, around 1850.
Pear shaped. Fluted relief and underglaze blue decoration. The finial in the shape of a flower bud. Marked with two dots in underglaze blue underneath and to the interior of the cover. Also marked with 'bølgelinier' or wave pattern and two dots at the handle. Height 26.5 cm.
The mark on the lid indicates J. M. Svardalyhn (1804-16).
Old metal staple repair at the handle. The inside of the cover with a small chip. Firing flaw/firing crack to the inside of the spout.
