A 'Blue Fluted Plain' / 'Musselmalet rifflet' beer mug with pewter fittings, Royal Copenhagen, first part of the 19th c.
Cylindrical. Fluted relief and decoration in underglaze blue, with a curved handle. Pewter fittings and cover with medal and inscription " "STWBJS Den 6 Novemb 1832", dated 1832. Sphinx at the top of the handle. The porcelain marked with 'bølgelinier' / wavepattern and blue painters signature "3" at the inside of the handle. Incised "N:3" and "9" to the ware at the base. Height 21.5 cm.
