Wiwen Nilsson, sterling silver collar with step-cut rock crystals, Lund 1945
Each quartz crystal measures approximately 25x14.2x13.6 mm, total height 5.4 cm, rod width 1.8 mm, rod lengths between 11.5 - 23.4 mm, necklace length about 57 cm, weight about 49.2 grams, in a box from Wiwen Nilsson.
The rock crystals with occasional minor chips visible under a 10x loupe. The silver with minor scratches and marks.

Wiwen Nilsson was a Swedish designer born in Copenhagen. He studied at his father's workshop, as well as in Germany, Denmark, and France. Nilsson is primarily known for his objects created in silver with geometric, clean, and austere forms. Nilsson debuted at the Gothenburg Exhibition in 1923. At the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, he had his major breakthrough, and his innovative modernism was a success. Nilsson created, among other things, jewellery, table silver, and services.
