Wiwen Nilsson, sterling silver collar with a step-cut rock crystal, Lund 1943
The rock crystal measures approximately 25x21.9x16.7 mm, the rods have a width of 1.8 mm, the lengths of the rods vary between 11.5-17.8 mm, the necklace is about 66.5 cm in length, and weighs approximately 47.1 grams.
The rock crystal with a few scratches and minor chips on the facet edges visible with a 10x loupe. Silver with minor scratches and marks.

Wiwen Nilsson was a Swedish designer born in Copenhagen. He studied at his father's workshop, as well as in Germany, Denmark, and France. Nilsson is primarily known for his objects created in silver with geometric, clean, and austere forms. Nilsson debuted at the Gothenburg Exhibition in 1923. At the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, he had his major breakthrough, and his innovative modernism was a success. Nilsson created, among other things, jewellery, table silver, and services.
