Kim Holm is a Danish studio ceramist. He was educated at the Kunstakademien in Aarhus from 1969 to 1972. Kim Holm has been a member of the exhibition group "Åtta keramiker" ( Eight potters). His work is strongly inspired by East Asian ceramics, primarily Japanese. He often works with raku but fires it at even higher temperatures, up to 1100 degrees Celsius. Holm has also worked with high-fired earthenware. His creations are characterized by powerful glazes and sometimes by shrunken glaze.
He has exhibited several times internationally, including in Sweden.
