A pair of silver and guilded silver salt and pepper shakers by Wiwen Nilsson, Lund 1957-58
The salt shaker is gilded on the inside, height 3.9 cm, diameter 2.7 cm, weight approximately 64.5 grams.

Designer
Wiwen Nilsson was a Swedish designer born in Copenhagen. He studied at his father's workshop, as well as in Germany, Denmark, and France. Nilsson is primarily known for his objects created in silver with geometric, clean, and austere forms. Nilsson debuted at the Gothenburg Exhibition in 1923. At the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930, he had his major breakthrough, and his innovative modernism was a success. Nilsson created, among other things, jewellery, table silver, and services.
