Beloved figurines

Beloved and sometimes less favored, figurines have a remarkable ability to evoke strong emotions. The history of figurines extends far back in time and has been found in ancient Egypt and China. Throughout history, they have had different meanings, but what figurines have in common is that they have always served as decorative elements.

During the Middle Ages, figurines were often made of wax or sugar and used as table ornaments. When porcelain became available, it quickly became the primary material for figurine production, giving figurines greater durability.

In the 18th century, figurines became popular among royalty and were used to adorn elaborately set dessert tables. Today, figurines have lost some of their former glory, but we aim to revive their charm with this collection from prominent manufacturers such as Royal Copenhagen, Lladró, Rosenthal, and others.

Take a historical journey and set a beautiful table with figurines. Let your imagination flow and botanise in the theme auction, 'Beloved Figurines'.
