Decorated in underglaze blue with two central scenes depicting the literati on an outing in nature with attendants preparing for them to engage in scholarly pursuits, one can see a wrapped qin intrument, books, and other things being brought along. The countersunk base is inscribed with an apocryphal Chenghua mark. Height 15 cm. Diameter 18 cm.

The mark in black reads 康熙叁拾四年叁月拾陸日 The sixteenth day of the third month of the thirty-fourth year of the Kangxi period.
