"I build objects from individual ready-made things: window hooks, caps for milk bottles, radio antennas, flashlights, broom handles, stamp holders, tool racks, hinges, locks, coat hangers. I find my elements in department stores: in the sanitary department, the household department, the paper department, the hardware department. I do not develop forms; I use forms that others have developed. I arrange my elements in series and try to find the best possible way to transform them. For me, there is only this problem. I make no 'art'; the viewer 'makes art'; I set up programs."
