In 2022, the designer, who never wanted to be called a designer, left this world, losing a man with a unique perspective. Kime was born in 1946 and began as a child to rearrange furniture in his parents' shed as a way to unconsciously practise his creativity and escape a domineering adult world. In Kime's profession, he came to visit lesser-known antique shops and sometimes markets to gather objects for an eclectic environment that appealed to the British elite, including King Charles III, David Somerset, 11th Duke of Beaufort, and Daphne Guinness.
