A Yomut tent band, also known as a 'Navar', Southwestern Turkmenistan, c. 1295 x 33-37 cm.

Around 1880-1900. Bone white flat-woven ground with knotted polychrome patterns of a wedding procession and stylised ornaments.

Provenance

Previously in Peter Willborg's (1956-2019) private collection since 1983.
