A green, yellow and aubergine glazed bisquit 'brinjal' bowl, Qing dynasty, Kangxi (1662-1722).

Rounded sides, flared rim, incised decoration of three floral sprigs in yellow, green and white against a aubergine glazed ground. The interior with a lingzhi fungus in green and yellow. The base with a seal mark in underglaze blue. Diameter 19.4 cm. Height 9.2 cm.

Repair to rim.

Provenance

Property of a private Swedish collector. Purchased at Bukowskis International Winter Sale 542 Decemer 2006, lot no 1715, then with the provenance from a Swedish Collection.
