Designer

Mithé Espelt was a French ceramicist active in Camargue. She trained in Paris and subsequently created, among other things, jewellery and ceramic buttons for Line Vautrin. Espelt returned to Camargue and started her own business. She went on to exhibit in Vallauris alongside other contemporary ceramicists. She was discovered and commissioned by Soleiado, designing jewellery for them from the late 1940s and for nearly 40 years thereafter. Meanwhile, Espelt began her own production of everyday objects dedicated to women, which she chose not to sign, such as mirrors, jewellery boxes, and more.
