More information

Jean Schlumberger (1907-1987) is one of Tiffany's most renowned designers. He worked for the company from 1956 to 1987 after starting his career by creating buttons for Elsa Schiaparelli. He is best known for the brooch "Bird on a Rock" which he designed in 1965 for the Tiffany Diamond, one of the world's largest yellow diamonds. Incidentally, Beyoncé wore it mounted in a necklace in a 2021 advertising campaign alongside her husband Jay-Z, who is seen in the images wearing a brooch signed by Schlumberger.
