A Swedish 17th century parcel-gilt silver tankard, mark of Johan Ståhle, (Stockholm, active 1677-1687 (1694)).

Cylindrical, with three engraved figural scenes on the body, standing on three fruit-adorned ball feet, curved handle with richly chased decoration, on the lid an engraved coat of arms with an eagle holding a sword and crown. Height 20.2 cm, weight 1416 g.

Provenance

Previously owned by Edward Liljewalch, thereafter inherited by Colonel Carl Tillman of Linköping. Thereafter inherited within the family.
